Việt Nam đẩy mạnh hợp tác AI và nhân lực số cùng ZTE, Meta và Thái Lan

Minister Vu Hai Quan works with senior leadership from ZTE Corporation, China.

During the meeting with ZTE Corporation, Minister Vu Hai Quan highly appreciated ZTE's long-term investment orientation in Vietnam, particularly in ICT and AI human resource training, which contributes to the development of high-tech human resources and the innovation ecosystem.

The Minister proposed that ZTE collaborate with Vietnamese partners to implement specialized training programs at an appropriate scale; simultaneously, he suggested exploring the establishment of an AI research center or laboratory to create an environment for practice, research, and development (R&D) for students, thereby promoting technology transfer and the development of high-quality human resources.

Minister Vu Hai Quan works with the Director of Public Policy Strategy for the Asia-Pacific region at Meta.

Regarding Meta, Minister Vu Hai Quan emphasized the priority of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in applying AI, while also requesting that Meta expand AI skills training programs, promote digital literacy, and strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese universities and research institutes.

Minister Vu Hai Quan works with the Minister of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand, Chaichanok Chidchob.

During the meeting with the Thai Minister of Digital Economy and Society, the two sides focused on discussing digital economy development, AI governance, digital transformation, and child protection in the online environment.

Minister Vu Hai Quan shared Vietnam's experience in policy-making based on the approach of "learning by doing and refining as we go," using practical implementation and feedback from businesses and citizens as a basis for continuous policy adjustment. The Minister noted that Vietnam has enacted several important laws on science, technology, and digital transformation, and is currently continuing to refine the legal framework for AI and digital transformation to create momentum for development.

Both sides agreed to review and update cooperation memoranda of understanding in a substantive manner; and to strengthen coordination on AI, digital transformation, digital governance, and at regional and international forums.

Through these meetings, Minister Vu Hai Quan affirmed that Vietnam will continue to expand cooperation with international partners in AI development, digital transformation, human resource training, and innovation, contributing to the construction of a sustainable digital ecosystem.
